- Uploaded content: Images you upload for meme generation are stored temporarily on our servers to process your request. We do not claim ownership over your uploaded images.
- Generated output: Remixed or AI-generated images produced by Meme Studio are stored and linked to your account so you can access them in your results.
- Usage data: We automatically log your IP address, browser type, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used solely for service operation, security, and aggregate analytics.
- Credit transactions: We keep an audit log of credit grants and deductions (reason, timestamp, balance delta) to ensure billing accuracy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process your meme generation jobs and deliver results.
- To enforce our credit and billing system.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
- To send you transactional emails (e.g. password resets). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
- To improve, monitor, and maintain the reliability and security of our service.
3. Image Data and AI Processing
Images you upload are sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) solely to fulfil your generation request. We do not sell, share, or license your images to any other party. Output images remain accessible in your results until you delete them or your account is closed.
We do not train our own models on your content. Third-party providers may have their own data policies; we recommend reviewing OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted vendors (cloud hosting, payment processors, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Meme Studio, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before that happens.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded source images are deleted from our servers within 30 days of job completion unless you save them explicitly. Generated output images are kept until you delete them. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), rate limiting, and signed download URLs. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we do our best to protect your data.
7. Cookies
Meme Studio uses only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser; however, this may prevent you from logging in.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
